This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for Chrome Extensions developed by Scrappysoft. This privacy notice applies solely to information processed by such extensions. Websites and parties that collect data via this extension are responsible for:
- What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
- What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
- The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
- How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.
Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
Data is captured from websites by the extensions running locally in the user browser. This data is processed for the purposes of producing the formatted output and sent as directed by the user, such as downloaded to a file or posted to another website. User information is not collected by Scrappysoft except as needed to authorize access. Any sensitive information such as passwords if needed for authentication and authorization are handled by third-party identity providers such as Amazon Cognito and/or single sign-on federated services such as those from Google. Any such values are never known by Scrappysoft. Anonymous analytics and diagnostic information may be collected by services such as Google Analytics.
Security
It is the responsibility of the users of this application to take precautions to protect the information. Scrappysoft does not ask users to submit sensitive information directly to the application. Where login is required, this is handled by redirection to a service like Amazon Cognito or a single sign-on identity provider, who then provide Scrappysoft with an authentication and authorization token for use.
It is the responsibility of the websites on which Scrappysoft extensions are used to store and transfer information securely and in encrypted form. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the Web page on which you use. Scrappysoft has no access to login credentials or other secrets such as those used to login to target websites on which the extensions are run.
It is responsibility of the websites on which Scrappysoft extensions are used to protect your information offline. Check with the Privacy Policy of these websites about their employee access and offline/online storage policies. It is responsibility of the users of Scrappysoft extensions to respect the terms and conditions of websites they visit.
